Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Photography

AI has impacted so much of our day-to-day experience.  It is used extensively in merchandising for practically every item or service offered.  The jewelry industry has benefited greatly from this technology, allowing AI to create scenery and even models that would otherwise be very costly to employ, not within the budget reach of most businesses, and which ultimately would be passed on to customers in the form of higher prices.  

At Aloha Estate Jewelry we do all of our jewelry photography in-house, and we have selected a black background as the primary setting/backdrop for all of our fine jewelry photographs.  We feel that the all-black background provides the best contrast for precious metals, Diamonds, and Colored Gemstones, and provides better fidelity and resolution of fine details.  Each of these photographs is our own work and none are retouched by AI.  

We add "Lifestyle Scene" illustrations for many of our items that presents that item in relatable settings:  a beach scene, the item being worn, the item being presented in differing settings.  These composite photos are made by combining our original unretouched photographs with AI providing a different scene / backdrop.  An example of this is shown above.  Our photograph of the Diamond accented Amethyst Ring, with AI providing the beautiful sunset.  

We are often complemented by our customers that when receiving their selection of fine jewelry it is "even better than the photographs."  That is our goal in every instance.  We want our customers to be absolutely thrilled with their selection, and if for any reason they are not, we offer a two-week return on every item.
