My Selection Looks Larger/Smaller Than The Photos
Share
We make every effort to portray our fine jewelry realistically in both "sterile" and "Life Style" contexts. Â Fine jewelry photo realism is best achieved on a "sterile" black background (one color, no props) which provides greatest contrast for the item. Â We provide close-up photos so that even the smallest detail is clear. Â The downside to this is that it can create the perception of a very large item. Â This is why we provide measurements of gemstones and, in most cases, setting "faces" for full transparency into an items true dimensions.
Even in our "Life Style" photography, where you can preview a selection with more natural and relatable backgrounds, perceptions can be distorted by a model's neck-size for necklaces and pendants, or hand size for rings and bracelets. Â A ring on a model whose finger size is an 8 will appear smaller than the same ring on a model whose finger size is 4.
It is always helpful to simply cut a small piece of paper to the size of the dimensions provided for the item and use that cutout to visualize the actual size of the item on your own finger, neck, or wrist. Â It's a simple way of ensuring that your selection of fine jewelry will meet your expectation and not appear larger or smaller than expected.
